So, our second week of Strictly is over and I think I can safely say we are all pretty tired! It’s been amazing but truly hard work!! With two shows a week rather than one it’s really putting us through our paces!!

Hayley’s debut album, Just Songs, is a collection of classic songs performed with the simplest of arrangements – a musical “back to basics” - it’s out with massive drum tracks, endless overdubs, quantisation and auto tune and in with the virtuosity of keyboard legend Rick Wakeman, guitarist Mitch Dalton and Hayley’s stunning voice.  There is the occasional colouration of cello, percussion, harmony vocals and even trumpet on one track but generally, less is more - though admittedly the album is short on dance tracks…

At the age of twelve, Hayley won a star search contest in her home town of Peterborough and with the £1000 prize money bought herself a PA system and started gigging – she’s been singing ever since.  By nineteen she was in a girl band and got to work with Narada Michael Warden and Nile Rogers but the band never quite happened, so it was back home where she joined Think Floyd, a Pink Floyd tribute band.
